Question: What is the best type of shoe to wear while hiking in the Grand Canyon and other parks nearby?
My girlfriend and I are going to the Grand Canyon but we’ll also be going to Zion and Bryce. The hiking will only be a few miles at a time, none of this half day or all day stuff.
Will a good pair of gym shoes like Nike or New Balance be OK or do you suggest boots?

High tops, boots or high sneakers that are comfy, adn provide lots of protection against plants and snakes. Wear jeans too.

I think that you should wear hiking shoes like nikes sketcher shoes,or other shoes but not boots because it might be difficult walking in them
