Question: What would you do in a camping trip if this happened?
As an avid camper/backpacker, you enjoy hiking into dense forest and setting up a crude camp. The camping trip is for 2 weeks and so you will need a stack of firewood. But by doing this, you are encouraging snakes to come live close by. What can you do to keep snakes away from your camp?
Answer:
Answer by hh60jayhawk
It would depend on where you are, as well as the time of year. In some places there are few to no snakes. In others, there are many snakes. I would say keep some Kindling nearby, and some larger stuff a little farther away. Also, a nice fire may just keep the snakes away. Personally, I don’t have much snake experience, mainly because of the places and time of year I camp, but that is probably what I would do.
Question: What is this song?????????
it goes
Joe calls Sally every now and then
He says “Cme on Sally, have a little sense
That mountain climbing is a silly waste of time
I’ve got a way you can skip all that
Get you to the top in minutes flat”
Sally just shakes her head and smiles wide
And says “I think I’d rather climb”

Question: Please read this????
“The Climb”
I set my feet on the ground
hoping that they would be moving soon
I glance up at the mountain
a glare of sunlight in my eye
each and every step counts
should i climb up?
or stay in the middle of the ground??
I will be taking a risk
that may be against my own judgement
But without that risk
how would i know
what a risk would be?
my feet start moving slowly
hitting bottom to bottom
Suddenly i come to a sudden
halt
now i must decide
between two choices
i must either continue
for the top
or climb back down
a flash of rush hits my blood
like a piercing of a nail
im going to do this
i tell myself
theres nothing that can stop me now
i did it
i reach the top
the climb
the mountain
was all a dillusion in my mind.
this poem is about facing a fear with heights.( :

Question: Please point out figurative language in this song!!!! Please! I am NOT good at doing this!!!!?
Okay can someone PLEASE point out figurative language, (Simile, metaphor, idiom, etc.) in tthe song “The climb”! Just list the phrase and put next to it which one it is.
Then if you can point out the poetic sound devices? THIS WOULD GREaTLY help me! I had volleybal tonite and i just got home so i had to wait till now and i really wanna go to bed and cant spend aton of time on this. lol PLEASE HELP!!! here are the lyrics:
I can almost see it
That dream I’m dreaming but
There’s a voice inside my head sayin,
You’ll never reach it,
Every step I’m taking,
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking but I
Got to keep trying
Got to keep my head held high
There’s always going to be another mountain
I’m always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes I’m going to have to lose,
Ain’t about how fast I get there,
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb
The struggles I’m facing,
The chances I’m taking
Sometimes they might knock me down but
No I’m not breaking
I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I’m going to remember most yeah
Just got to keep going
And I,
I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on,
cause
There’s always going to be another mountain
I’m always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes I’m going to have to lose,
Ain’t about how fast I get there,
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb
There’s always going to be another mountain
I’m always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Somebody’s you’re going to have to lose,
Ain’t about how fast I get there,
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb
Keep on moving
Keep climbing
Keep the faith baby
It’s all about
It’s all about
The climb
Keep the faith
Keep your faith

well i’m not sure this is the best song choice, cuz there’s not a whole lot, but the whole chorus is a metaphor (that’s the one without like or as, right?)… she’s not REALLY trying to move a mountain/climb it, the mountain is a metaphor for her issues i guess.
“The struggles I’m facing,
The chances I’m taking
Sometimes they might knock me down…” that’s personification
I THINK “uphill battle” might be an idiom, but i’m not completely sure.
Question: My deep sadness lead me to this question: When’s the last time you were really sad?
For me it was today. I found out something that hurt more than I expected it to. I’ve been crying like all day and my head hurts like heck.
“There’s always going to be another mountain…I’m always going to want to make it move sometimes I’m going to have to lose. Not about how fast I get there, its about whats waiting on the otherside…It’s the climb” – Yes I’m quoting Miley Cyrus (How bad is that?)

Lord Dont Move the Mountain-
Inez Andrews
Is this it?
(Sorry about the caps, thats how they are on the website I got them from)
NOW LORD DON’T MOVE MY MOUNTAIN
BUT GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO CLIMB
AND LORD, DON’T TAKE AWAY MY STUMBLING BLOCKS
BUT LEAD ME ALL AROUND
OH LORD YOU DON’T HAVE TO MOVE THE MOUNTAIN
BUT GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO CLIMB
AND LORD, DON’T TAKE AWAY MY STUMBLING BLOCKS
BUT LEAD ME ALL AROUND
LORD I DON’T BOTHER NOBODY
I TRY TO TREAT EVERYBODY THE SAME
BUT EVERYTIME, I TURN MY BACK
THEY SCANDALIZE MY NAME
BUT OH JESUS, YOU DON’T HAVE TO MOVE MY MOUNTAIN
BUT GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO CLIMB
AND LORD DON’T TAKE AWAY MY STUMBLING BLOCKS
BUT LEAD ME ALL AROUND
NOW WHEN MY FOLKS WOULD SLAY ME
THESE THINGS THEY WILL TRY TO DO
BUT LORD, DON’T TOUCH EM
BUT WIITHIN THEIR HEART
MAKE EM GIVE THEIR LIFE TO YOU
OH MASTER YOU DON’T HAVE TO MOVE MY MOUNTAIN
BUT GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO CLIMB
AND LORD, DON’T TAKE AWAY MY STUMBLING BLOCKS
BUT LEAD ME ALL AROUND
