Question: Please help me with my allegory short story!!!?
Hi!
I’m writing a short story for my english course that is supposed to be an allegory of some kind. The story I’ve come up with so far is that it’s about this man who lives in a small village close to a very big BIG mountain. At the end, or a the other side of this big big mountain there is said to be a treasure which will give you love, money and happiness for ever. Everyone in the village talks about this treasure and there is always someone who climbs this mountain in the hopes find it, but no one ever does. So this man is determent to find this treasure and climb this mountain himself. On the way though, me meets all these people and earns money and falls in love. And that is what my message if for this story, that there is really no treasure and that the “climb” is the treasure it self. That he finds everything he was looking for at the time he was looking for it. Do you think that it’s a good story? And what I need help with is how it’s supposed to end, I mean if he is supposed to get to the other side of the mountain and see that there is no treasure or realize the “message” and stay with the people n the mountain?
Or do you have and other suggestions to how it should end? I’d really appreciate it!

I suggest there should be a woman in the town he meets everyday. The woman doesn’t really care about him but he does. And he has a friend thats a girl and in the “treasure” he realises that his friend is his love all along. He goes home and tells her he loves her and a kiss.
The end…

Lord Dont Move the Mountain-
Inez Andrews
Is this it?
(Sorry about the caps, thats how they are on the website I got them from)
NOW LORD DON’T MOVE MY MOUNTAIN
BUT GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO CLIMB
AND LORD, DON’T TAKE AWAY MY STUMBLING BLOCKS
BUT LEAD ME ALL AROUND
OH LORD YOU DON’T HAVE TO MOVE THE MOUNTAIN
BUT GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO CLIMB
AND LORD, DON’T TAKE AWAY MY STUMBLING BLOCKS
BUT LEAD ME ALL AROUND
LORD I DON’T BOTHER NOBODY
I TRY TO TREAT EVERYBODY THE SAME
BUT EVERYTIME, I TURN MY BACK
THEY SCANDALIZE MY NAME
BUT OH JESUS, YOU DON’T HAVE TO MOVE MY MOUNTAIN
BUT GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO CLIMB
AND LORD DON’T TAKE AWAY MY STUMBLING BLOCKS
BUT LEAD ME ALL AROUND
NOW WHEN MY FOLKS WOULD SLAY ME
THESE THINGS THEY WILL TRY TO DO
BUT LORD, DON’T TOUCH EM
BUT WIITHIN THEIR HEART
MAKE EM GIVE THEIR LIFE TO YOU
OH MASTER YOU DON’T HAVE TO MOVE MY MOUNTAIN
BUT GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO CLIMB
AND LORD, DON’T TAKE AWAY MY STUMBLING BLOCKS
BUT LEAD ME ALL AROUND
Question: I am new to tent camping and need help. How do you use an electrical hookup in a campground?
I am going to camp in a Yogi Bear campground in a site that says “Water and Electrical Hookup”. Does that mean I can use an extension cord with a strip on the end of it that has plugs in it?
I can find lots of info on tent camping on the internet, but nothing that explains electrical hookup. I’m a single mom. I hope I can find a veteran camper who can help me with my camping questions.

Hello-I can help. I have camped since I was in diapers and am now, over 30 and holding-lol.Can you explain what you mean by “with a strip on the end”? Are you talking about just an extension cord? If so, you can plug an extension cord into the outlet. If you are still unsure-ask when you get there.

Look for help from your hiking shop locally or from a regional club that does this. I’ve seen many cities in Switzerland and it will be a wonderful trip for you.
I saw something online about a half-day and day trip for hiking that had to do with mountain hiking. Looked really interesting but I didn’t have the time for it. Spectacular views in the ad. Don’t remember where it was in Switzerland. Look up viator tours, think it was on their site. Check those fancy-smanchy travel magazines, too.
Use the Swiss term CHF to find their things. That may help.
