This is one of the coolest climbs that I have done! The thrill and the views were amazing. The summit is about 7650 feet and several of the valleys below are 1200 to 2000 feet so you are really looking pretty far down. The trailhead starts out around 5700 feet so there is roughly 2000 feet of elevation gain by foot.

The ugliest mountain in Norway, according to pioneer WCSlingsby, or the most beautiful mountain in Norway. You decide. The mountain is situated above the Tysfjord area in northern Norway. The three norwegians climbing the mountain is Stein Ivar Gravdal, Cecilie Skog and Rolf Bae. It was a perfect day. A perfect trip. And a good climb. One of many nice experiences Cecilie and Rolf had together, Rolf Bae died in a climbing accident on K2 1st of August 2008. He was caught in an avalanche near the summit.
