Question: How to go about running on hiking trails?
I want to take up running this summer, but on hiking trails so that I can run at an incline. How should I go about doing this? Do people do this? What type of shoes are okay? Any tips? Thanks!

it’s called Trail Running, and a lot of people do it. it’s more exciting than road running because you have varying inclines, challenging terrain and sometimes better views. not to mention there’s the added difficulty of having to be careful where you step.
wear whatever shoes you run in now. anything with ankle support is too big and clunky. maybe you’ll twist an ankle here and there but big deal.
i’m one of those barefoot converts, though. people often run in Vibraim TrekSports, though i’m a bigger fan of the Merrell Trail Glove. either of those get stinky like you wouldn’t believe, though, so find some sort of anti-stink spray.
